We’re excited to share that Christopher Hinshaw, Executive Director of the Greater East Grand Economic Council (GEGEC), has joined the Board of Directors for the Eastern Area Agency on Aging (EAAA). EAAA serves older adults and caregivers across eastern Maine by providing access to vital resources that promote independence, health, and quality of life. GEGEC is committed to strengthening the economy and supporting community well-being in the Greater East Grand region through local investment, workforce development, and strategic partnerships.
Hinshaw’s appointment reflects the natural alignment between the missions of the two organizations. Both are deeply rooted in supporting rural communities and improving the well-being of residents through connection, collaboration, and opportunity. His experience in regional economic development brings a valuable perspective to EAAA’s board, helping to ensure that aging Mainers—especially in remote areas—remain an integral part of vibrant, resilient communities.
